The tittle of the workshop is ‘One Day Workshop on Microsoft Project’
Preamble
This workshop is designed to give a solid foundation in the fundamentals of MS Project.This is a fully-fledged practical workshop that utilize the Microsoft Project 2016Software as the main tool to:use various views and tables; schedule and manage tasks; analyse and measure progress; budgets and resources;adjust resources;and customize and share reports. These lessons helps a project more visible, for others to see the status of a project and boost collaboration, which helps the participants to manage and maintain control ofmultiple projects more efficiently for an organization.
In completion a ‘Participation Certificate’ will be awarded IT Centre, Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna.
Target Group
This workshop is designed for GCE Ordinary Level as well as GCE Advanced Level school leavers, and the employees who are already engaged in the Projects, positioning:
- Project team members.
- Project and program managers.
- Operations managers.
- Executives with business planning responsibilities.
- CEO’s who run projects / programs.
Duration and Schedule
One day workshop, 8 Hours on Saturday – 9am to 5pm
Fee Per Participant
Rs 2750 for Students and Rs 3500 for workers/ staff
Medium of Instruction
This workshop is conducted in bilingual languages including English and Tamil. Participants can use both English and/or Tamil in the lecture discussions.
Method of Teaching and Learning
The workshop will be delivered in a combination of lectures, computer laboratory practical sessions, and group works.
Objectives of the workshop
The objective of the workshop is:
- To provide the basic knowledge of project management concepts.
- To provide the practical skill in using the Microsoft Project software
- To produce capable personnel in currently practing project management or project coordination.
- To prepare a workforce to manage multiple projects effectively, to the present job market.

After completing this workshop, the participants should be able to:
